Key Boxe kids 7–12

The course for children aged 7 to 12

Key Boxe is Black Bull Academy’s course for the youngest. It is the evolution of Kalimeri, the children’s programme Sifu Maximo taught for years, adapted and renewed under a new name. It is not a competitive course and it is not a scaled-down adult class: it is a path built around the age group, where play is the tool and martial art is the language.

1. Builds discipline and focus: the bow, the gym rules, waiting for your turn, paying attention to the instructor and to your partner.
2. Improves all-round fitness: coordination, balance, agility, endurance, through games, circuits and pad work.
3. Teaches self-defence: recognising risky situations or people, knowing who to ask for help, defending yourself with your body and with the right behaviour.
4. Boosts self-esteem and confidence: every child progresses at their own pace and is recognised for effort, not for comparison with others.
5. Reduces stress and helps manage emotions: releasing energy in a healthy way, learning self-control, respecting partners and handling conflict with words before hands.

What a lesson looks like

Warm-up through games, motor-skill work, basic techniques on pads and bag (punches, kicks, blocks) always safely and with protective gear, partner drills where respect for your partner is the first rule, and a final moment of calm and the bow.

Practical information

• When: Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
• Where: Genesis B gym, Via Montebaldo 119, Desenzano del Garda.
• Age: 7 to 12, no previous experience needed.
• Trial: the first trial lesson is free.
