Women’s self-defense

A self-defense path designed for women and girls: prevention, awareness of the surroundings and simple, effective techniques, in a safe and respectful environment.

Women’s self-defence and anti-aggression

A path designed for women and girls, in a private and respectful setting. You need neither physical strength nor experience: effective self-defence begins long before contact and is based on awareness, decisiveness and a few simple techniques, trained until they become automatic.

The path

  1. Prevention: habits that reduce risk, attention to your surroundings, planning (where am I going, with whom, how will I get back).
  2. Recognising risk: the signs of an attack being prepared, the behaviour of someone looking for a victim, trusting your instinct.
  3. Assertiveness: posture, eye contact, voice. Saying no clearly, setting a boundary, getting noticed. Often this alone is enough to stop an aggression.
  4. Managing distance: keeping your space, not letting anyone get close, using voice and hands to create distance, spotting escape routes.
  5. Practical techniques: escaping wrist grabs, hair grabs and holds from behind; dealing with shoves and pulls; striking vulnerable targets with natural weapons (palm, elbow, knee); getting back up if you end up on the ground; using everyday objects.
  6. Proportion: the right response is the one that fits the situation, with the goal of stopping the aggression and getting to safety, not of fighting.

How we work

Progressive lessons, with realistic simulations that are always safe and consensual for everyone taking part. Techniques are chosen to be few, simple and repeatable under stress.

Practical information

Days, times and format (ongoing course or workshop) are communicated by the office and published once confirmed. A trial lesson can be requested.
